S1mple Wins BC.Game Debut at The Proving Grounds 3 Despite Lowest Team Rating
Ukrainian AWPer Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev played his first official match for BC.Game at The Proving Grounds 3 tournament. His team secured a 2:1 victory over CYBERSHOKE in the opening round of the group stage, but Kostyliev finished the match with the lowest individual rating on the roster — 1.01.
The series started poorly for BC.Game, as CYBERSHOKE took Overpass 16:13. On that map, s1mple posted a 17–18 scoreline with a 0.89 rating, the weakest on his team. The second map, Mirage, saw BC.Game turn the tide and win 19:17 in overtime. Kostyliev improved to 29–26 with a 1.13 rating. The decider, Ancient, ended with a confident 13:7 win for BC.Game, where s1mple went 10–10 with a 1.03 rating.
After the first map, Kostyliev complained about freezes during the game, which he claimed were caused by the anti-cheat software. Despite this, BC.Game closed out the series 2:1 and moved into the 1-0 bracket of the Swiss stage.
