CS2 Premier Season Three Update: Overpass is Back; Trade Protection Released

Anticipation of the next season in Counter-Strike 2 is over! CS2 Premier Season 3 is here, and it comes with substantial changes to the game.

In addition to the gameplay adjustments, the community is receiving a trade protection feature. It makes the CS2 skins market a safer industry.

Overpass Replaces Anubis

One of the popular CS2 maps is out of the official Active Duty Pool. Anubis has been removed from Competitive and Premier modes. Professional players will not be able to pick it during CS2 esports events.

Overpass replaces it! This map is back after it was moved to Casual play in 2024 to free space for Dust II.

Trade Protection

Starting from the Premier Season 3 update, CS2 will allow players to cancel all trades from the previous seven days. This feature should reverse malicious actions if your account was stolen.

The new trade protection is pretty great, but it doesn’t cancel the necessity to follow simple security principles in CS2 skins trading.

The MP9 and Incendiary Changes. More money for CS2

There are not too many gameplay adjustments in this CS2 update, but they are pretty significant.

  • The MP9 gets nerfed in terms of spray control and jumping accuracy.
  • The Incendiary grenade receives a nice buff, as the fire from it now spreads faster than from the Molotov.
  • Counter-Terrorists earn $50 for each kill as a shared team award.

The start of Premier Season 3 in CS2 is a great reason to play the game even more and grind for a CS rating. The higher you climb that ladder, the more prestigious your medal will be.
