Teams Revealed for BLAST Bounty 2025 Season 2
BLAST has announced the list of participants for the second season of BLAST Bounty 2025 — one of the most unique tournaments in Counter-Strike 2. Among the top contenders are Vitality, Team Spirit, MOUZ, and NAVI, all ready to fight for a $500,000 prize pool and the championship title in a format that revolves around the innovative “bounty” system.
Participants and Format
According to the tournament organizer, invitations for BLAST Bounty Season 2 were issued based on the official Valve rankings. 32 teams will compete in an online round from August 5 to 10 in a one-loss elimination system — a single loss equals elimination. The top eight shall proceed to the LAN finals that shall be held on Malta island from August 14-17.
The roster of the team includes some of the biggest names in CS: NAVI, Team Vitality, MOUZ, Team Spirit, Virtus.pro, FaZe Clan, and many more. The full bracket and early matches will be announced nearer to the online stage start.
A Unique “Bounty” Format
The main feature of this tournament remains the signature Bounty system. Each team receives an initial “bounty value” based on their tournament seeding. When a team wins a match, they collect 50% of the lost bounty from the defeated team, and the remaining 50% is rolled over into the next match of the winner as a fresh bounty target.
This mechanism adds another level of incentive and strategic complexity. Favorites in tournaments are made into high-priority targets, and teams must manage risk versus reward in determining how to attack opponents and navigate the bracket.
Tournament History and Team Spirit’s Success
The first season of BLAST Bounty 2025 wrapped up in January, with the finals held at the BLAST Studio in Copenhagen, Denmark. Team Spirit put on a dominant playoff run and defeated Eternal Fire 3-1 in the grand final. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets was named MVP of the tournament after delivering an incredible individual performance, cementing his place as one of the brightest stars of the CS2 era.
The BLAST Bounty format has already captured the hearts of fans with its strange mix of competitive format and economic strategy. Along with it comes still more high-stakes games, tactical surprises, and cutthroat competition.
Can Team Spirit defend their title, or will a new champion emerge? We’ll find out in August.
