Cristiano Ronaldo Becomes Global Ambassador of Esports World Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo has been introduced as the global ambassador of the Esports World Cup (EWC).

“I’m proud to become the global ambassador of Esports World Cup and to stand alongside esports athletes who overcome barriers and inspire the new generation,” Cristiano Ronaldo wrote on Twitter.

The GOAT of football, uniting everyone through the game. Together, we support the new generation of esports athletes striving for the top,” reads Ronaldo’s announcement on the EWC Twitter account.

The Esports World Cup will take place from July 8 to August 24 across 25 esports disciplines. The total prize pool for the competition is $70 million.
