LAN Tournament on an Aircraft Carrier in Brazil with $44,000 Prize Pool
In 2025, South America is set to host one of the most unique esports events of the year – a CS2 LAN tournament aboard a real aircraft carrier! Circuito FERJEE 2025 will take place from August 13 to 15 in Rio de Janeiro, and its organizers have truly stunned everyone with their choice of venue – the competition will be held on the NAM Atlântico, the largest military ship in Latin America.
This tournament will be the first-ever esports event to take place on a military ship. The aircraft carrier will be docked at the Pier Mauá in Rio, where spectators will not only be able to enjoy the matches but also experience the Rio Innovation Week tech exhibition. The ship will accommodate 1,500 spectators, and the broadcast will be available online on Twitch and YouTube.
With a total prize pool of $44,000, Circuito FERJEE 2025 is attracting the best teams from the region, including RED Canids, ODDIK, Sharks Esports, and Imperial Esports. The tournament format will be Double-Elimination, where teams still have a chance to win in the lower bracket even after their first loss. Matches will be played in Best of 3 format – the first to two map victories.
In addition to the main event, a women's tournament, Lótus Challenge, will take place aboard the aircraft carrier with a $5,000 prize pool. This tournament is aimed at supporting women and LGBTQ+ individuals in esports and will bring added attention to the event.
Brazilian CS legends such as fer, fnx, and mch will compete in the tournament. Behind the scenes, a team of experienced casters, including BiDa, AMD, and Nessy, will be working to enhance the event's depth and emotions.
Fans can attend the tournament by purchasing tickets for the Rio Innovation Week and also follow the matches online. Additionally, the organizers will hold ticket giveaways for viewers, allowing them to be part of this historic event in person.
